Jo & Co Dog Grooming provides a dog grooming service from my salon in Southdown, Harpenden, Hertfordshire.
The standard grooming service consists of, bathing, shampooing, drying, de-matting and styling. At the same time, I will trim your dog's nails, clean their ears and carry-out a health check. I am not a vet but will inform you of anything I feel needs your attention.
Grooming does more than make your pet smell and look nice:
- Keeping your dog's face free of long hair will help avoid eye infections and irritations.
- Bathing removes dirt, dead hair and oils from your dog's skin and makes skin problems, lumps, fleas and ticks more visible.
- A matted coat can cause skin irritations, infections and pain.
- Long haired dogs get dirt trapped in their fur which can be uncomfortable and cause unpleasant smells in your house and car.
- Furry paw pads can trap dirt and make dogs skid on slippery surfaces. Correctly groomed paws will reduce the risk of accidental injury.
